Aries is more decisive and direct, but also somewhat more naive and simple (psychologically speaking) than Pisces. You two can balance one another nicely. Aries depends on Pisces' sensitivity and gentleness to soothe, heal, and provide a sanctuary from the world of competing and achieving. Pisces, on the other hand, admires and probably needs Aries' forthrightness, honesty, and willingness to act boldly.

Pisces is more of a giver, and can be very self-denying, while Aries is self-absorbed, and can unintentionally take advantage of Pisces' generosity. Aries also lacks tact and subtlety sometimes, and inadvertently wounds Pisces' tender feelings. Your instinctive emotional responses and emotional needs are so different that quite often you rub each other the wrong way or cause offence to one another unintentionally. Aries has an eager, active, take-charge attitude that is somewhat abrasive to Pisces, who is gentle, receptive, very sensitive and rather passive.

Aries is direct and confrontational, and can be quite irritated with Pisces' vagueness, over-sensitivity, and tendency to seek escape or avoid conflict. Aries is somewhat volatile and needs to express anger and other emotions rather than bottling them up. Once released, Aries forgets these outbursts rather quickly, but Pisces is often left feeling hurt or upset by the disruption. Pisces craves peace, tranquillity, and a sort of idyllic environment.

Also, Pisces has a strong need for closeness and sympathy, and is often very dependent on loved ones, while Aries prefers to be (or at least acts) self-reliant and independent. Pisces is extremely flexible and adaptable and often unfocused or unclear about personal direction, and Aries may dominate or take advantage of Pisces' willingness to give and bend.

Being together will bring many changes into your lives. You'll become more progressive, more open to experimentation and new ideas, more adventurous and less conventional. You'll foster one another's freedom and autonomy, and develop a relationship that may look odd to other people, but which truly fits your own needs and authentic selves. What may have seemed radical or too far out to you, now will become quite easy for you to accept.

The more the two of you cooperate with the impulse towards newness and "nowness" (letting go of the need to maintain the familiar, or cling to preconceived expectations), the better and more smooth your relationship will be. One of the purposes of the two of you coming together is to open you both to new ways of expressing yourselves and understanding the world.

Vigorous debates and intellectual sparring will inevitably play a key role in your relationship. What you might try to convey tactfully in other circumstances, you will state directly and unequivocally with each other. This can lead to numerous arguments and disputes, not so much due to deep differences of opinion but simply due to the way you both communicate with one another.

Both of you are warmly affectionate, passionate, expressive creatures and you need the flame of romance to be burning brightly in your lives in order to be happy. Physical love-making is extremely important to both of you, an essential aspect of your vitality and self-expression. Fortunately, you have in one another a companion who is as ardent as you are.

This is a passionate relationship, but also a rather aggressive and combative one at times. Sex may be a bit rough, crude, or insensitive as well. You stimulate each other both in sexual and non-sexual ways, but you are also inclined to irritate each other. As long as you don't end up fighting and competing with each other, you can accomplish a great deal together. However, the aggressiveness of this relationship is prone to foster anger and hurt feelings - so be careful not to incite hostility in each other.
